Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki on Monday said watching the ongoing Wimbledon 2023 championship with his children brought back his childhood memories.
He posted on his social media handles “Having a great time at #Wimbledon with my children, where we have had the incredible opportunity to watch Djokovic, the defending champion, Ms Jabeur, the Tunisian female player who was in the finals last year, and Alcatraz, the No 1 seed and exciting young talent, all play on Centre Court”.
“This experience brought back fond memories of my late father, who, along with late Chief Okoya Thomas, took me to Wimbledon for the very first time where I watched Arthur Ashe’s exceptional skills on Centre Court”.
“It’s been both humbling and exhilarating to pass on this experience to my children, just as my father did with me”.
