The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has told some elders backing Rivers Governor Siminialayi Fubara that he is busy celebrating the New Year and will not dignify them with a response yet.
About 16 pro-Fubara elders such as Celestine Omehia, Tele Ikuru, Prince Uche Secondus, Austin Opara PhD, Senator Lee Maeba, Senator Ngoji Denton West among others had countered the minister’s last weekend statement against former Governor Peter Odili and the state governor.
But a statement by Wike’s Senior Special Assistant, Media, Lere Olayinka, said the was busy celebrating the New Year with those, who mattered in Rivers.
“There is no time to dignify any committee of opportunistic political contractors who are busy withdrawing from the Rivers’ ATM of betrayal that they never wanted in the first place”.
“At the appropriate time, the message will be made very clear to them and their ATM. For now that the alawee is still flowing, they should enjoy it,” he
