Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi on Wednesday celebrated his 62nd birthday with Internally Displaced Persons in Mangu Local Govt area of Plateau State.
In a post on his official Twitter handle, he wrote “Today, I was in Mangu Local Govt. Area of Plateau State, to mark my 62nd birthday at the different Internally Displaced Persons Camps in the area. I understand the peculiar struggle that the people have, especially with the recent hike in terror attacks in the area”.

“I encouraged them to be of good cheer and continue to pray for God’s intervention in the affairs of Nigeria. Every Nigerian in any part of the country deserves to live in a safe and secure nation, and that is the vision of the New Nigeria which we look forward to”.
“I also paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Plateau State, H.E. @CalebMutfwang, where I commiserated with him over the terror attacks. May God heal our land. -PO”.
Obi also donated cash and food items to the displaced persons.
