Argentina skipper Lionel Messi and Paris Saint-Germain teammate Kylian Mbappé of France are among the six sports-persons who have been named on Time’s list of 100 most influential people for 2023.

TIME released its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world this week with both Messi and Mbappé making the cut.

On Thursday, 13 April TIME released its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world with both Messi and Mbappé making the cut.

France and Argentina advanced to the FIFA World Cup final thanks to the two stars’ contributions for their respective countries in Qatar in 2022.

After 120 minutes of football, the enthralling championship game concluded 3-3 with goals from Messi and Mbappe. Argentina went on to win via penalties to land their third World Cup title.

President of the United States Joe Biden, who has appeared on the TIME 100 six times, more than any other person this year, Elon Musk, Beyonce, Venus Williams, and Michael B. Jordan are among the other notables.
