Former Delta state governor, Chief James Ibori has shared a group picture taken at the birthday of Esama of Benin Kingdom, Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion.
Ibori who shared the picture on his Instagram page @officialjamesibori titled it ‘Major Throwback’
Our correspondent gathered that the picture was taken in 2004 when the Esama clocked 70 years.
In the picture were President Bola Tinubu, Chief Lucky Igbinedion (Edo State governor 1999-2007); Aremo Olusegun Osoba (Ogun State governor 1999-2003); Former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim and Chief James Onanefe Ibori (Delta State governor 1999-2007).
Others are the celebrant, Sir Gabriel Igbinedion; Chief Niyi Adebayo (Ekiti State governor 1999-2003) and the late Prince Abubakar Audu (Kogi State Governor 1999-2003).
Audu was the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 2015 gubernatorial election in Kogi State. Despite being in the lead, he died on 22 November 2015 shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) declared the elections inconclusive.
