A former Commissioner of Information in Edo State and one of the governorship aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State, Prince Kassim Afegbua, has backed the outcome of the screening and pruning exercise embarked upon by the Hon Julius Ihonvbere-led panel, which okayed six out of the 29 governorship aspirants jostling for the party ticket.
Afegbua, who scaled the first hurdle along with nine others, but failed to make the last six (of two per each senatorial zone on the basis of equity and equality of zones), declared that “politics (ambition) is not a do-or-die affair.”
The party leadership led by Abdullahi Ganduje said it has taken administrative notice of the outcome of the screening by the panel and has approved the six aspirants recommended.
