Adamawa Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has warned chairmen of councils, councillors and other political office holders in the state to ensure the palliatives that will be rolled out by the state government gets to the needy.
He warned them not to hoard the palliatives, saying it is not meant for them or their relatives.
In a tweet on his official Twitter handle, the governor wrote “Very soon, we will be rolling out palliatives to cushion the effect of the subsidy removal on our people”.
“I want to urge all Chairmen of councils, councillors, and all political office holders who will be appointed soon to ensure that when this intervention comes, it reaches our people”.
“These palliatives are not meant for you or your relatives; they are meant to go around and reach the poor and vulnerable individuals in our society first. A well-planned distribution system should be laid out to ensure that nobody is short-changed”.
“From now on, we must strive to live in a community where everybody is treated fairly, ensuring that our people can live the way they should. Adamawa First!
