I’m a diehard fan of Davido, and my love for him is organic and sincere.
But I also believe that when you truly love someone, you should be able to tell them the truth.
I find his excuse for not attending the Amaju Pinnick show in Warri untenable.
Even worse was the swipe he took at him. That was totally out of line.
You claimed to have notified the organisers months back that you’d not be available, but did you refund them?
The only thing that could authenticate your excuse would have been that you refunded them.
You can’t hold on to an equivalent of N72 million and merely send a message of not showing up without refunding them.
I don’t know how that sounds into your hearing, but it hurts my eardrums so bad.
The decent thing to do is apologise to Mr. Pinnick (and not denigrate him) and refund him the full value of his money.
That’s what any decent person should do.
That said, you’re still my number one artiste any day, any time.
