Breaking: Tinubu May Name Oyetola As Chief Of Staff

The President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to name immediate past governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola as his Chief of Staff.

A key leader in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) who is a close associate of Tinubu disclosed this to worldviewafrica on Saturday.

According to him, Oyetola and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila were the top two contenders for the position but the lot fell on Oyetola who lost his bid to secure another term in office as Governor of Osun State.

He added that aside being someone Tinubu trusts so well, Oyetola got the edge having served in that capacity before as a former Chief of Staff to his predecessor, Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

” The position of Chief of Staff is likely going to Oyetola. It could have been Gbajabiamila but since the Supreme Court judgment has declared that PDP should remain in power in Osun, then Oyetola is the likely candidate for the position”.

” The Chief of Staff is a very sensitive and strategic political position. He should be the first to see the president in the morning and the last to see him at night. He Must be someone the president has implicit trust in”.

“Aside his experience as a former Chief of Staff, the APC needs a leader in Osun State who will keep the party together now that it is in opposition to the PDP . Oyetola will use his position as Chief of Staff to the President to rally the party members together and put the APC on a solid footing in Osun State” he said.
