Omoba Tunde Ajibulu mni , a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and member of the 2023 APC Presidential Campaign Council (Campaign Planning) at the weekend provided grants to 100 widows in Kogi State.
Ajibulu made the donation through his foundation Omoba Tunde Ajibulu Foundation at the 2023 Ekirin-Adde Day celebration 2023 an annual event organised by the Ekinrin-Adde Community Development Association (EACDA).
Speaking on why he empowered the widows, Ajibulu said it’s his own little way of giving back to the society.
According to him, his foundation takes special interest in widows because most of them usually become relegated and abandoned by family and friends, soon after the demise of their husbands, to solely fend for themselves and their children.
” I lost my father few years ago and my beloved mum is still alive. So I know what widows go through. The grant to the widows is to put smiles on their faces and to lessen the burden and troubles they face as a result of the demise of their husbands”.
“Our foundation will continually provide succour for our mothers and our youths in the society” he said.
